Books for Trade: Blackeyes, (Sadie) [Pierre MacOrlan, aka Pierre Dumarchey].PETITE DACTYLO. Suivi de: Les Belles clientes de M. Brozen et du: Maitre d’Ecole. avec un choix de lettres concernant les faits curieux touchant la flagellation des misses et des femmes

In original covers printed in red and green, 299 pages plus Table, with 32 illustrations by Gaston Smit, this edition differs somewhat by also having the superb, signed engraved frontispiece by Louis Malteste. The publishing history is somewhat confusing, but I think this edition though undated may be around 1930, though possibly earlier, and I believe it constitutes a first thus.

This title is available for trade against my Paris Olympia Press wants.

Above includes a small sample of the illustrations in text along with the full page illustrations. The Malteste frontispiece is an iconic image, and I am not surprised that it is often missing from this edition. Rare in original covers with the Frontispiece.
