Bit of a surprise this one, a clandestine Losfeld that I have never seen before, and completely anonymous, no text just illustrations, no research material, available.
Pat Kearney lists it thus :-
QU’EN PENSEZ-VOUS? n.p., n.d. [c.1958]. 8°. 16 ff.
Dutel 2284. An album of erotic illustrations used by Losfeld in his
other publications. – No repository copy found.
The reference to Dutel presumably says the same but in French.

QU’EN PENSEZ-VOUS? n.p., n.d. [c.1958] (Losfeld). In original, publishers textured cream coloured card covers, title in purple on front cover, otherwise completely anonymous. (23 x 14.5 cm),blank ffep, half title, Title Page, blank verso, followed by 21 illustrations on 22 pages (inc 1 double page illustration) all printed in black on thick card. Absolutely no text or publication details.
A very beautiful book (no illustrations), which nicely combines my interest in early 20th century flagellation literature, and mid century clandestine publishing. This particular book , being a clandestine Losfeld title which I have never seen before, and it is a reprint of a work first published by Librairie Générale, Paris, 1931.
Alan Mac Clyde, Edith Kindler, Joan Spanking and Jean de La Beuque fils are pseudonyms for the author of several pornographic novels published in the 1930s by the Librairie Générale (84, Boulevard Diderot, Paris) and Librairie Artistique et Édition Parisienne Rèunies, imprints of Paul Brenet, a publisher specializing in flagellation and BDSM works.Robert Mérodack , has suggested that behind this pseudonym is hidden Maurice Renard (1875–1939) French author of several science fiction novels among which Le Docteur Lerne, sous-dieu, Le Péril bleu and Les Mains d’Orlac. His argument is based on a passage of La Reine cravache where Edith Kindler wrote «taxées de fantaisistes que certain auteur français de grand talent accorde à son héros le docteur Lerne, qu’il qualifie de sous dieu».
Mac Clyde, Alan, Dressage, Editions du Chinois (Eric Losfeld), 1950. 8vo. pp. 182. 1 ff. Coverture en papier gris-vert imprimèe en noir. Printed 15th May 1950. in original covers, pages uncut, Fine copy. Dutel,[15] 1435.[16]

Another late clandestine title and something of a mystery, the limited information I can find has an apparent link to Isidore Isou , and therefore potentially Losfeld, the only reference to an illustrated edition appears to concern prior listings of this copy, which looks to me to be extra illustrated (meaning there were not illustrations in the original book), a clue to this is that the illustrations are , except for one, double sided and by different hands. Three of the illustrations are certainly by Jean Morisot, which are evidenced by the ogre like men depicted, the others I do not know. The double sided images may originate with one of Losfeld’s productions such as ” Florilèges de la volupté ou Les Voluptés d’une vicieuse”, which is linked at the base of this post.

Here we go again, having disposed of all of nearly all my Losfeld Clandestine titles it appears that I may have stumbled upon another.
If the above title has caused some confusion, allow me to clarify. The book in question has the cover as below.
But as you can see, again below, the contents differ.
The only constant factor is the name Fukwell, which is one of several pseudonyms used by Alphonse Momas, one of the most prolific pornographers of the last century.
The actual book we are dealing with has a total of 127 pages, 110 of which appear to constitute the main text of the Fruit Verts, the remainder is entitled ” EXAMEN SUBI PAR MADEMOISELLE FLORA” which appears to be to be a poetic dialogue. this section also contains the only bound in illustration in the book.

My good friend Pat Kearney lists various editions of both of the titles:
Fruits verts, par Fuckwell. Paris-Bruxelles [Paris: printed by Chas. Renaudie for Duringe], 1902. 8vo. Two volumes, pp. [iv]+134, [iv]+129. British Library: P.C.15.aa.35.
Fruits verts, par Fuckwell. Paris-Bruxelles, 1902. 8vo. Two volumes, pp. 268.
Fruits verts, par Fuckwell. Paris-Bruxelles [c. 1920]. 8vo. pp. 244.
Fruits verts, par Fukwell [sic]. [c. 1920] 8vo.
Petites et grandes filles, par Le Nismois. 8vo.
Cited in a clandestine catalogue, and probably published at Amsterdam by Auguste Brancart about 1891.
Petites et grandes filles, par Fuckwell. Londres-Paris [Rotterdam: Bergé, c. 1893.] 8vo. pp. 248. British Library: P.C.15.aa.34.
Petites et grandes filles, par Fukwell. Paris-Londres [Paris, c. 1924]. 8vo. pp. 216.
Petites et grandes filles. [Paris:] En Souvenir d’Isidore Liseux, 1924 [Eric Losfeld, c. 1955]. 8vo. pp. 137.
[Petites et grandes filles] Pot Pourri, [par] J. Le Nismois. Paris: Editions de Poèle, Square du Champs de Mars, 1949 [Eric Losfeld, c. 1955]. 8vo. 66 ff.
An English translation of Petites et grandes filles, as Green Girls, was printed at Paris in 1899 by Renaudie for Duringe and Leonard Smithers. A modern reprint of this was published at New York by Grove Press in 1971.
You will note that none of the above are entitled Grandes & Petites Filles, as the first two title words are reversed in the original, in addition there is no record of an Amsterdam 1933 edition. Having raised these questions with Pat Kearney, his sage advise is thet this hotch potch is most likely a Losfeld Clandestine title, and therefore probably dates around the mid 1950’s.
For more details and other titles by this author please follow this link to Pat Kearneys page:-
Just to complicate things even more my copy has an extra 8 illustrations tipped in, a suite of six small monochrome images and 2 slightly larger illustrations in blue. I am reasonably confident that none of these belong to the book, but as I have no idea what they do belong to I am copying them here for your enjoyment.
ORPHANED ILLUSTRATIONS.

Strikingly similar to the clandestine edition published by Losfeld in 1950, this is a more elaborately decorated , openly published edition, it has the same illustration set as the Losfeld, they differ only that there are fewer only 8 in this edition, they are also slightly enlarged and in red as opposed to blue.
This title is available for trade against my Paris Olympia Press wants.

In my recent post regarding this title I complained, about the quality of the images in the book, and the attendant difficulties with scanning and improving the images. I asked if anyone knew who the illustrators were. And for once I actually got a response, for the moment I will just list copies of some the colour illustrations that were copied to illustrate the book. At a late date I will update the original listing with the names of the illustrators that have been identified, by a fellow bibliophile who provided the images below and who wishes to remain nameless.
Click the link below to see the images as they appear in the book
If anyone else has copies of the original images it might be fun to do a comparative listing.
Another clandestine Losfeld title this one is loaded with illustrations, as is sometimes the case the quality of the images in the book is variable and I take some considerable time attempting to enhance and improve the images, of the 61 hors-texte images there are a number that I cannot post, so you will have to do with what I have been able to resolve. This title will be going to auction soon, so if you want to see the rest of the images you could always bid on it.

I think it is a shame that the publisher did not index the images to a named artist and publication, but maybe someone out there knows where they are from. I recognise a few.

After a long break from the 1950’s I am now returning to that decade, to list the last of my clandestine titles from “Losfeld and others”. The last few I have been reluctant to list, because they are either, like this one; incomplete, or I just do not like the illustrations.
Once I have finished listing this group, they will be going to auction, as part of my reinvestment program, to provide funds for other books.
This title is lacking 2 of the promised 10 idées Rose (unless in this edition Mme de V was having a bad day and could only manage 8), it is rebound, with cover preserved. If anyone has copies of the 2 missing illustrations, perhaps they would like to donate copies to complete the listing.
This title is available for exchange against my Paris Olympia Press wants.

Another clandestine publication from the prolific Mr Losfeld, previously only presented in list form, but here with all the illustrations. I cannot locate any reference to this title being prosecuted, therefore I would be grateful if anyone has any information regarding that.
I had some difficulties with the images, some of them were very faint, and my scans are actually an improvement on some of the originals, I hope that they are good enough.
