A late clandestine publication, unable to locate any reference to this title, but from experience, likely to be Francis Flores, who published a large number of clandestine titles from Toulouse in the 1950’s.

Mémoires de ma puberté. L. Machaut. Monaco, Éditions du Levant, 1958. 151, pages in sheets,(19 x 14 cm). In cream coloured cover printed in black, in a slipcase with snakeskin effect. Limited edition of 750 copies. 12 explicit highly erotic prints, on card, individually protected in paper sleeves. Spine of cover is neatly taped, contents are clean and complete, the 12 illustrations are in FINE condition.

Another clandestine title and a very odd one, the only reference I can find for this one is a brief listing of another copy as follows lists it as  ‎a numbered edition with 10 illustrations inserted, which this one also has, with a date of 1938 and referenced at Dutel 2642. It may well be that the illustrations are tipped in in other copies , but in mine they are pasted in over text, you can lift the image to read the text, but this is the first time I have found this odd practice. The illustrations are well executed and possibly controversial, I would have guessed this as a post war production, but bow to Mr Dutel’s superior knowledge. Could almost be an Isou- Losfeld or Frances Flores.

So as always if anyone can shed any more light, do complete a contact form. On which subject the first image appears to have an exposure problem (in more than one way) not my doing that is how it looks and all the images are flat scanned, with no exposure adjustment.

Another title I am pleased to be able to list having listed a number of others by the same publisher previously, another clandestine mystery unveiled.

Jean GUYOT : LEÇONS D’AMOUR; S.G.E.P. [Toulouse, Francis Flores, 1959] 1 volume in-8 (19 x 14 cm), paperback, 157 pages and 10 free illustrations in fine sheets printed in sepia. Cover printed in red and black. Excellent condition. Full of required illustrations that are often missing. ORIGINAL EDITION. Volume published in the late 1950s in Toulouse by Francis Flores. Leçons d’amour finishes on page 112. Followed by, Des Panonceaux au Trottoir.

It is a long time since I listed one of these, but as I am painfully aware, that all but a very small number of viewers, have no real, interest in The Paris Olympia Press, here is a small present as advance warning the the site will increasingly gravitate to the full details of my collection and away from other material, unless I get anything very interesting to list that is.

A clandestine publication, in a limited edition, numbered 406/500, no date, no publisher but beyond any reasonable doubt, Frances Flores. 199 pp, with Title page and six explicit erotic illustration, in a spectrum of colours, by an unsigned artist.  Some of the illustrations are identical (barring colouration) to illustrations offered in L’Aquarium des Voluptés, another Flores title dated around 1955, therefore no reason to suspect that this title is far from the same date.

Another clandestine title from Francis Flores. A much rarer and more controversial title than the others previously listed, very scarce with all of the illustrations.

Issued in a limited edition of 800 numbered copies (see scan) Ref: Dutel, bibliography of erotic works published in French between 1920 and 1970, No. 972.Book condemned for the first time on January 3 1957. Pia, 22. Bnf,Enfer, 1558, which has an incomplete copy.

Although all illustrations are present in this copy there is one illustration that it is not possible to display. Therefore 9 illustrations are presented here.

In-8 sheets (19×14) of 230pp., 1ff., In gray paper printed covers with an image of a blackboard. 12 illustrations inset in black on Bristol paper. First edition of a clandestine pornographic novel, published at the end of the 50’s in Toulouse by Francis Flores. Anonymous beautiful retro illustrations in ink. The book was first sentenced for gross indecency on September 21, 1960. Pia 303 ​​Dutel 1346.

Previously presented in list form only, rare with the tipped in illustrations, and Flores seems to have had the upper hand on quality over that of Losfeld’s productions.

And a pleasure to be able to use the cover decorations to embellish this page.
