Another clandestine Losfeld title, previously only presented in list form, but here with all the illustrations.

SAINT-LUC, Vicomtesse de, pseud. – Ma Vie Conjugale. En souvenir de Isidore Liseux [c. 1955]. 8vo. pp. 151. Twelve illustrations. [Bibliothèque Nationale: 8-Y2-90000(1130). – Dutel, 1876.] Prosecuted in December 1957. In original soft card wraps, in sheets, wear to cover some creasing , but complete with all illustrations. A reprint of a work originally published at Amsterdam in 1893 by Auguste Brancart, under the title Autour du Mariage de Paulette.

Unpaginated, but pp. [168]. Twenty-four illustrations. [Bibliothèque Nationale: Enfer, 1514. Dutel, 1450] Prosecuted in September 1961. In only about good condition but complete with all illustrations.

Another late clandestine publication of a title originally published clandestinely in 1786, this undated copy is a Losfeld publication from 1950, curiously there is also a contemporary, openly published edition , Editions de la Plume (1953), which only really differs by its cover and a far more elaborate Title Page, it has the same illustrations , (in red) but fewer of them only 8 to the 12 in this edition, and otherwise is identical in size and number of pages. Showing here all of the 12 illustrations.

8vo. pp. 172. Twelve erotic plates. Limited to 258 copies on ‘beau velin,’ numbered 1 to 250 and lettered A to H. This copy No 161 . Fine uncut pages unread copy, all illustrations present.

Previously presented in list form only, rare with the tipped in illustrations, and Flores seems to have had the upper hand on quality over that of Losfeld’s productions.

And a pleasure to be able to use the cover decorations to embellish this page.

Another clandestine Losfeld this one a reproduction of (part) of an earlier clandestine title by Brancart.

Another clandestine Losfeld, title, previously posted in list form, but here with the illustrations. As far as I can ascertain the text is a reprint of an 18th century gallant, but I would be interested to know what title the illustrations were from originally.

Another of my late clandestine titles, previously listed in brief, but here with all the illustrations.

NOTE: The illustrations are on glossy paper in the book itself, and are none to clear to the eye, I have scanned and darkened the images, in the hope of making them more visible on the the screen, the results are mixed. I hope you enjoy them.

LE GORILLE

No publisher ,No Date . [ Paris . Eric LOSFELD . Second edition of a Surrealist pornographic novel c1960 . DUTEL 1673 ] 119 pages + 16 plates by André COLLOT originally belonging to “Symphonies Amoureuses” . Long thought to have been the work of Losfeld himself, under the pseudonym, Alexandre Leucade ( which crudely translate to “Alexander the Great”), the author is now accepted to have been Ado Kyrou.

Another of my clandestine titles from the 1950’s, and very clearly copyrighted in 1958, a copy of the title originally published in 1938, and although 5 plates is correct for this edition, the original in fact had 6 monochrome plates and a colour plate on plain paper, curiously there are copies of the original for sale, but I cannot locate a copy of this edition elsewhere, so rare in its own right with the added Losfeld factor.

L’Aquarium des Voluptés

In original printed card covers (which have fine detailed decorations hard to see on the images but very pleasing to the eye), 229 p.p. with 8 full page explicit erotic illustrations printed on thick glossy card contained inside the flap at the back of the book. A Very Good/ Near Fine copy of a rare and elusive title, very nice condition and a very pretty little book. Illegal pornographic novel published in Toulouse by Francis Flores in the late 50s. Dutel (II-1034). Prosecuted in 1961
