Site Update: Coming Next

Strange Times indeed, it is good to be back and be in the challenging situation of deciding what to do next. I have a very large number of rare and beautiful books to post on the site and will do so at my usual sedate pace, much of the joy for me is in the research.

As those who follow the site will be aware, I have for many years been swapping and selling books, sometimes direct and other times as on eBay or Catawiki. With pretty much immediate effect, or as soon as I can work out how to add the button to my posts, I will be offering certain books for sale direct on the site via my long established PayPal account.

I am only able to make the site viable because I am prepared to purchase incomplete or sometimes damaged copies, alongside some very fine copies which I have been lucky enough to hunt down. Recently, followers have started to engage and contribute with information to complete and compliment my listings, this is really pleasing as it makes the site work as a collectors forum, which was always my primary ambition.

As for the collection, my Paris Olympia Press books, I still have them and resist the temptation of selling them, without them the site would lose its heart and I might well lose heart myself. 40 years of collecting cannot be paid for in cash terms, and although they will have to be sold at some point in time, I cannot let them go unless it as as a complete collection and to a good home.

Please do ask questions about the books and the collection, About 90% of the books listed are no longer in my possession, but the blog is a permanent record of their existence and there for anyone to enjoy for whatever reason may motivate them. I still seek ephemeral material and a couple of variant titles for my Paris Olympia collection and I am always pleased to be offered material for, or answer question about the collection.

I have a number of books already listed which I intend to list for sale on the site. I appear to be having some conflicts between Classic and Block editing on my WordPress platform. I prefer Classic because that is the established format for the site and I am familiar with it, but it appears that if I inset a payment button it switches everything to Block! Any advice much appreciated.

Thanks for your interest and support Steve M.

  1. Hi Steve
I can’t help with technology and can’t afford your Paris Olympic collection…so seemingly not much help !!!!…however I do enjoy reading your posts, albeit most are beyond my literary comprehension….so do what you enjoy, keep trading/selling and explaining and I will continue to view and learn
    best wishes
