Books for Trade: Anon: Painful Pleasures, Translated out of the French and adapted from the English by W.J. Meusal with a Foreword by the Translator Privately Printed for Collectors Only. n.p. (USA) 1931

Painful Pleasures

In somewhat better condition than my previous title, but ,still fragile however a much better production than that of  “Modern Slaves”,this title was also reissued under the Delectus Books imprint in 1995, and copies of that are readily available. This title also has a credited artist in Francis Heuber, and the claim to eighteen illustrations given on the title page only tallies if you include the decorative head and tail piece illustrations. So with ten full page illustrations and eight decorative illustrations here for your enjoyment is the original of Painful Pleasures.

This original title is available for trade against my Paris Olympia Press wants.
